We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Robert and Tricia Blough. With a combined 30+ years of experience, we are experts in the ‘Y’ and basket strainer business.
The American Strainer Company, our new venture, was founded last year to provide strainers, replacement screens, baskets, gaskets and accessories for Paget strainers, as well as Mueller, Sarco, Eaton, Armstrong and more. We would like to be your first source, not only for these products, but for custom screen fabrication and repair as well.

We are currently accepting purchase orders for all replacement and custom screens and baskets. Temporary line strainers are available as well. Temporary Line Strainers
A temporary line strainer is a device that is installed in a pipeline to filter out any debris or foreign materials that may have entered the system during construction or maintenance . It is usually made of perforated metal or wire mesh, and can have different shapes such as cone, basket, or plate . A temporary line strainer is only used for a short period of time, until the pipeline is clean and free of contaminants. It can protect downstream equipment such as pumps, valves, meters, or instruments from damage or clogging . A temporary line strainer is typically removed after the startup phase and replaced by a permanent strainer or a blind flange. Temporary Line Strainers cann be either conical (witch’s hat) or flat.
